CapturePoint Comments on Proposed Forest Service Rule Changes to Allow Deep Underground Pore Space Permits

On behalf of CapturePoint, CEO Tracy Evans submitted public comments to the Forest Service supporting proposals to change their rules to allow consideration of permit applications for deep underground pore space to be used for CO2 storage (RIN 0596-AD55). The rule changes will bring the Forest Service into alignment with the governing US law, Congressional and Administration intents, and other federal land-holding agencies. The CapturePoint comments included extensive recommendations for effectively and responsibly evaluating permit applications once they can be accepted by the Forest Service.

CapturePoint Secures Dedication of CO2 For CENLA Hub from Southwestern Energy Company

CapturePoint Solutions Co-Sponsors Vernon Parish School Board Initiative to Create Career Training and Job Opportunities for Local High School Students

CapturePoint Solutions LLC signed a Memorandum of Understanding in a local ceremony with the Vernon Parish School District and the United Association of Journeyman and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada and key local affiliates to formally launch the Vernon Parish School Board “Capturing Better Futures” Initiative. The project will create a Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway with training in specialized trade skills for jobs in the pipeline, plumbing and steamfitting industries. The training program will be open to students from all 9 high schools in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, with the first 30 students (15 juniors and 15 seniors) beginning classes as the new school year starts on August 21, 2023.

The White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) today announced members of two new task forces that will provide input to inform the responsible development of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Sequestration (CCUS).
